About Us

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

-Matthew 22:37-40-

Archer Reformed Church exists to share the love of Christ with our community and, to draw people to Christ through our church while continuing to build up the body.

We are a rural church in the small community of Archer, just a short drive south from Sheldon. We are a small church with a big family feel. We invite you to come as you are and hear the good news of Jesus Christ proclaimed with us, as we seek grow in fellowship with one another, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We believes that we have a biblical mandate to share the gospel in our community and beyond our comfortable borders.  Jesus sums up the law and our call in this way in Luke 10:27, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself.”  We are called by God to invest our lives and expect that God will use us and our willing hearts in more ways than we can imagine or understand.  We have been called to be salt and light, God’s chosen people, and His message to our world.  We have also been called by God to be agents of His love in this lost and broken world.  Jesus teaches us in Matthew 7:12, “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.  This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”  The greatest act of love anyone could demonstrate is to share Christ and to encourage them to accept and walk in God’s Word.

Archer Reformed Church first opened its doors at the beginning of the 1900's and we have been faithfully proclaiming the Gospel and serving the Archer community ever since. We are a member of one of the oldest denominations in the country - the Reformed Church in America (RCA). More about the RCA denomination can be discovered by following this link https://www.rca.org/. We are deeply rooted in God's Word and we value the Reformed traditions. As a church we affirm and adhere the creeds and confessions of the RCA.
